About Tri Delta

Tri Delta was founded by women, for women, in 1888 at Boston University when our Founders bravely created a new organization that would “think more of a woman’s inner character than her outward appearance.” Their vision has grown into the dynamic women’s organization we know today.

Today, Tri Delta is a network of nearly 250,000 women, and we are committed to lifelong learning through educational initiatives, transformational programming and relevant personal and professional development.

From supporting Tri Delta’s Foundation—which empowers collegiate and alumnae members through transformational programs, scholarships and emergency financial support—to supporting the life-saving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and local children’s cancer charities, Tri Deltas are passionate about serving others.

Chapter History

The Boise, Idaho Alumnae Chapter was started in May 1, 1935. The alumnae chapter joins Tri Deltas from many different colleges, creating new friendships and allowing alumnae to continue to participate in Tri Delta's traditional events, including our annual Founders' Day Celebration and Pansy Brunch. The alumnae chapter also provides the opportunity to for it's members to develop leadership skills, participate in community service projects and assist Tri Delta's collegiate members.

One of the joys of Alumnae membership is enjoying each others company when time allows. Tri Delta sisterhood is the ultimate no stress relationship. We are eager for your company when you have time and are understanding when your other commitments keep you away. Our chapter is blessed with caring, vibrant and passionate women from every age group and every corner of the country.

The alumnae chapter supports collegiate chapters at Boise State University (Beta Eta chapter), University of Idaho (Theta Tau chapter) and Washington State University (Theta Nu chapter).
